Syracuse Crunch Invite Donald Trump to Drop the Puck April 16
April 15, 2016 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Syracuse Crunch News Release
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch are issuing a formal invitation to Donald Trump to drop the puck at the last home game of the season on Saturday, April 16 against the Utica Comets at the War Memorial Arena at 7 p.m.
Trump is holding a rally at the Nicholas J. Pirro Convention Center at 12 p.m. Saturday.
"I know Donald is going to be next door to the War Memorial Arena at noon on Saturday," Crunch senior vice president of business operations and chief financial officer Vance Lederman said. "Now that he's a block away from my turf, I want him to show up. I'll even let him drop the puck at 7."
The Crunch have extended numerous offers to Trump throughout the season. Lederman has welcomed Trump to visit the team and learn sports business from the reigning James C. Hendy Award winner, given to the outstanding executive in the American Hockey League for 2014-15.
"No excuses," Lederman said. "He's in Syracuse. He hasn't taken me up on my offer yet this season. Now is the time."
Syracuse Crunch single game and season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased either in person at the Crunch Box Office located in the War Memorial at 800 South State Street in Syracuse or by calling the office at 315-473-4444.
