Griffins Announce Home Dates for First Round

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins on Friday announced the dates for their first two home games of the 2016 Calder Cup Playoffs.
The Griffins will host Game 3 and Game 4 (if necessary) of the best-of-five Central Division Semifinals on Tuesday, April 26 and Wednesday, April 27 against either the division champion Milwaukee Admirals or the second-seeded Monsters, both of whom have secured home-ice advantage in the first round. Each game will face off at 7 p.m. at Van Andel Arena.
Grand Rapids' opponent will be determined and the full schedule for its opening series will be announced no later than Saturday night, when the Griffins complete their 20th regular season by hosting the Bakersfield Condors for the first time ever. Game time is 7 p.m.
Currently sitting in third place in the division thanks to a tiebreaker advantage, the Griffins are tied with the Rockford IceHogs at 90 points heading into their 8 p.m. EDT showdown tonight at the BMO Harris Bank Center. A Griffins win in regulation would guarantee a division semifinal series between Grand Rapids and Lake Erie.
Tickets for Games 3 and 4 of the division semifinals at Van Andel Arena will go on sale to the public on Saturday at 10 a.m. Tickets will be available at all Star Tickets locations, including The Zone, online through griffinshockey.com, by phone through Star Tickets at (800) 585-3737, or via the Griffins app for iPhone or Android.
