
Swing Send Snappers to Three Game Slide

Quad Cities scored in the first inning for the fourth straight game, plating two runs to take a 2-0 lead. Edward Ovalle doubled home Paul Kelly to cut the lead to 2-1 in the bottom of the first. The Swing scored a run in the top of the second and third innings, extending their lead to 4-1. The Snappers cut the lead to 4-2 in the bottom of the fourth, when Henry Sanchez scored on an RBI ground out by Allan De San Miguel. Quad Cities scored three times in the top of the fifth, taking a 7-2 lead. Erik Lis and Drew Thompson each blasted solo home runs in the bottom of the sixth, cutting the lead to 7-4. The Swing scored once in the top of the eighth, stretching their advantage to 8-4. The Snappers loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth, but were only able to score once. Beloit lost to Quad Cities for the third straight time.
Upcoming Schedule: The Snappers head out on an eight game road trip. The first stop will be in Dayton, Ohio for a four game series with the Dragons, June 2-5. Following the series with the Dragons the Snappers head to Clinton, Iowa for a four game set with the LumberKings from June 6-9. The Snappers return home June 10 to host the South Bend Silverhawks June 10-13.
