Greenville Swamp Rabbits News Release
THE SHIP SET SAIL
The Greenville Swamp Rabbits (21-35-7-1), proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, trip north to Virginia featured the final pair of games against the Norfolk Admirals (25-33-6-1) this season. Alternate captain Joe Basaraba net the opening goal of the weekend less than five minutes into Friday's game. JT Henke tallied his third goal in four games during the second period, to tie the Admirals, but the Swamp Rabbits effort eventually fell short in a 6-3 decision. The following night, Basaraba again found the net, but not until Norfolk rallied for an early lead. Carter Sandlak connected on his seventh of the season during the second period with a power play goal. The Admirals shut it down in the third period, limiting chances and taking the game 5-2. In the two games, goaltenders Ty Rimmer and Braeden Ostepchuk made a combined 66 saves in goal.
