
Surf Remain Hot with 13-4 Win

ATLANTIC CITY- Atlantic City continues its hot streak with a 13-4 victory over the Rox of Brockton in front of 1107 at Bernie Robbins Stadium.
Rob Fischer went back-to-back games with eighth inning grand slams. Fischer added two doubles, five RBI and four runs scored in five at-bats.
The Surf turned their third triple play in their 10 year history in the top of the forth inning. With runners on first and second running with the pitch Rico Santana snared a fly ball by Tony Gonzalez of the Rox in the right field warning track. Santana threw to Joe Burke at first base to double up John Allen, then Burke threw to David Keesee at second to triple up Jason Radwan.
Wally Rosa added a home run to left in the fourth inning. Santana later added a solo shot to left in the eighth.
After allowing three runs in the first inning Surf starter Brian Rodaway pitched six shut out innings. Rodaway went seven innings allowing three runs on four hits striking out three and walking three. Rodaway's record improves to 7-3. Mike McTamney falls to 1-7 going five innings allowing seven hits and six runs.
Atlantic City has at least 10 hits in the last four games and has scored 39 runs over that span. The series will continue tomorrow when Atlantic City's Ben Thurmond (6-3) meets Brockton's Rolando Viera (4-4) at Bernie Robbins Stadium. First pitch is 11:05 AM for camp day.
