New Haven County 6, Quebec 4

HR: Q-Boomer Berry (3); NHC-Jeremy Pickrel (5)

A big four run eighth inning, highlighted by a CF Jeremy Pickrel home run, leads the New Haven County Cutters to their sixth straight win with a come from behind victory over the Quebec Capitales. 1B Chris Gaskin and DH Orlando Encarnacion each had 2-for-4 days at the plate with a run scored to lead the Cutters offensively. Adam Piechowski got the win in relief for New Haven County pitching a scoreless eighth inning allowing only one hit. Cutters closer Andy Weimer gave up an unearned run in the ninth but still managed to notch his seventh save of the season. For Quebec in the losing effort, RF Nick Trainor and DH Scotty Martin each collected two hits with Martin scoring a run.

New Jersey 6, Grays 2

HR: NJ-Clyde Williams (8), Sandy Madera (13)

The New Jersey Jackals rode a strong outing by starting pitcher Isaac Pavlik to victory. Pavlik allowed two runs on six hits and struck out eight in six innings of work to improve to 6-2 on the year. Pavlik got plenty of support from his offense, which tallied 13 hits in the game. The three-four duo of 1B Clyde Williams and DH Sandy Madera combined to go 4-for-8 with three runs scored and four RBI and each homered. Grays DH Sean Gamble led the way with a 2-for-4 night in the losing effort.

North Shore 8, Worcester 1

The North Shore Spirit won their second-straight game to begin the second half with an 8-1 victory on the road. The Spirit got four runs in the first frame and never looked back as they pounded out 15 hits and got great pitching all around. Starter Joey Siak improved to 5-2 after allowing just one run in 5 1/3 innings. From there, the North Shore bullpen allowed just two hits and two walks to finish off the Tornadoes. Worcester LF Andrew Wishy homered in the second inning to plate the Tornadoes lone run. It was his sixth of the year.

Nashua 7, Sussex 1

The Nashua Pride cruised to victory behind the work of starting pitcher Lance Stevens, who allowed one unearned run on five hits through six innings of work to improve to 3-3 on the year. Pride LF Jerod Edmondson led the way offensively, going 3-for-4. Four other Nashua hitters recorded multi-hit games. The win evens both teams' records to 1-1 in the second half. The Pride bullpen allowed just two hits in three innings of relief to help seal the win.

Atlantic City 14, Brockton 3

@ Atlantic City, NJ. Time: 2:56 Attendance: 1,107

HR: BR-Francisco Lebron (9), Jason Radwan (4); AC-Robert Fischer (6), Rico Santana (4), Wally Rosa (2)

There were plenty of home runs in the matchup between Atlantic City and Brockton, but the Surf had many more hits as they rolled to an easy win. Atlantic City got home runs from DH Robert Fischer, his second in as many games, RF Rico Santana and C Wally Rosa in support of starting pitcher Brian Rodaway. Rodaway improved to 7-3 on the year with the win. He allowed three runs, all in the first inning, on four hits through seven innings of work. The Surf, which held a 6-3 lead heading into the home half of the eighth inning, put the game well out of reach with seven runs in the frame.
