A big four run eighth inning, highlighted by a CF Jeremy Pickrel home run, leads the New Haven County Cutters to their sixth straight run with a come from behind victory over the Quebec Capitales. 1B Chris Gaskin and DH Orlando Encarnacion each had 2-for-4 days at the plate with a run scored to lead the Cutters offensively. Adam Piechowski got the win in relief for New Haven County pitching a scoreless eighth inning allowing only one hit. Cutters closer Andy Weimer gave up an unearned run in the ninth but still managed to notch his seventh save of the season. For Quebec in the losing effort, RF Nick Trainor and DH Scotty Martin each collected two hits with Martin scoring a run.
