Pride Down Skyhawks

Sussex Skyhawks News Release
On Tuesday night at Skyklands the Skyhawks couldn't put together a solid all around effort, the type of effort that had helped them win 4 out of their last 5 games. Nashua Pride starter Lance Stevens pitched a gem for the Pride allowing only one run, which was unearned over six innings of work while scattering five hits.
After Stevens left the game, the Pride bullpen quieted the Skyhawk bats as three relievers combined to pitch the last three innings. Skyhawks starter Ryan Dittfurth was solid for most of the game, but was hurt by fielding miscues which gave the Pride offense more than enough chances to score. The Pride offense tonight was solid all around as they combined for 12 hits, while no player recorded more than one rbi. The end result was a 7-1 victory for the Pride as they led wire to wire and defeated the Skyhawks.
The Skyhawks hope to rebound quickly as they play host to the Pride Wednesday afternoon at 12:05 PM. Eiji Yano(1-1) will take the mound for the Pride, while Edisbel Benitez(4-4) will start for the Skyhawks.
