
Suns Take Series Finale Over Legends 8-2

Sean Nicol's two-run double keyed a four-run outburst in the sixth inning for Hagerstown, and the Suns went on to an 8-2 win over the Lexington Legends Sunday night in Hagerstown.
The game was scoreless until the fifth inning when the Legends picked up a run on a single by Telvin Nash, an error by center fielder Bryce Harper and two ground outs. But the Suns answered with two runs in the bottom of the fifth, and then broke the game open with the four-run rally in the sixth. Starter Matt Grace (9-5) pitched the first seven innings and earned his ninth victory of the year. Legends starter Ruben Alaniz (5-6),w ho worked five and one-third innings, took the loss. The Suns won two out of three in the series. The Legends will return home to play the West Virginia Power in a three-game series at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. Game time Monday is 7:05 p.m., with a fireworks show to follow the game.
