Suns swept for second straight series

Salisbury, MD - The Hagerstown Suns scored 38 runs on 75 hits in their last six games and lost all six. Their most recent defeat was 8-7 on Wednesday against the Delmarva Shorebirds, even though the Suns out-hit them 14-8. The Suns have been swept for the second straight series.

The reason the Suns have lost six in a row is because their pithcing staff has given up 56 runs on 72 hits over that same six game losing streak.

Corey Coles went 3-5 and finished the three game series with nine hits. Carlos gomez went 3-3 with two walks and scored three times. Jesus Flores had a three hit game in a losing cause for the second time in three the game series. The Suns (3-10, 45-38) are now in last place, and have lost 21 of their last 34 games.

Hagerstown comes home for the first game of a quick two game series on Thursday at 7:05pm in Municipal Stadium versus the West Virginia Power.
