The Lexington Legends rallied for three runs to post a 7-4 win against West Virginia on Wednesday night in Charleston. The win snaps a season high five game losing streak and helped the Legends avoid being swept by the Power.

Andrew Alvarado (2-0) picked up the win in relief of Jimmy Barthmaier. Alvarado worked 1.2 innings giving up a run on four hits. Ryan Thompson got his first save of the year with 2.1 scoreless innings. Barthmaier began the game with five plus innings allowing three runs on seven hits.

Several Legends had strong offensive games. J.R. Towles had two hits including a triple and scored a run. Drew Sutton extended his hit streak to eight straight games with two singles.

Beau Torbert had a single and a double and Ole Sheldon belted his second homer of the year high off of the scoreboard in left centerfield.

Brian Montalbo (1-5) suffered the loss for the Power after coughing up two runs in 3.1 innings.

Lexington returns to Applebee's Park on Thursday night. The Legends will host Lakewood at 7:05. Juan Gutierrez will face Nate Johnson. The Progressive Direct pre-game show will kickoff Legends network coverage beginning at 6:50.
