Suns Rally Falls Short in 4-2 Loss to Grasshoppers

Greensboro, NC - The Hagerstown Suns (30-21) fell 4-2 to the Greensboro Grasshoppers (37-15) at NewBridge Bank Park in Greensboro, N.C., on Tuesday night.

Suns starter Taylor Hill (3-4) pitched a career-high seven innings in the loss, allowing three runs on seven hits with four strike outs. Jason Martinson blasted his sixth home run of the season, a two run shot, to drive in the only runs of the night for Hagerstown.

Grasshoppers' starting pitcher Jose Urena (4-3) threw five scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out four batters for the win. Reliever Austin Brice finished the game with nine strike outs over four innings for his third save of the season. Greensboro second baseman Ryan Goetz hit his second home run in as many games, a three run shot, and finished the night 2-for-3.

The Suns will conclude the road trip and series with Greensboro on Wednesday morning at 10:45 a.m. The Suns have yet to announce tomorrow's probable starting pitcher, while Greensboro will send LHP Adam Conley (5-1) to the mound.
