Asheville Tourists News Release

Tuesday night's game between Charleston and Asheville at McCormick Field was suspended in the third inning, due to rain, with the RiverDogs leading 7-3.

The teams will pick up that action on Wednesday at 11:05 a.m. and complete the scheduled 9-inning game. Approximately 30 minutes afterwards the teams will square off in a seven-inning game.

Asheville's Sam Mende was on third base with two outs and Taylor Featherston approaching the plate when play was stopped.

Asheville holds a 3 1/2 game lead over Charleston and Wednesday's double-dip will mark the end of the series. The Tourists will welcome Augusta to McCormick Field for four games, starting Thursday.
