STAT OF THE DAY: Brian Roberts is just the second major leaguer to rehab with the Shorebirds since 2009. Luke Scott played in two games for the Shorebirds in 2009 and went 3-for-4 with a home run in his first at-bat.

PREVIEW: The Shorebirds and Crawdads meet in game two of the series on Tuesday night. The Crawdads cruised to an 8-3 win in game one on Monday. The Shorebirds have lost four in a row and seven of their last eight games. The Shorebirds have dropped into fifth place in the North, 14.5 back of Greensboro with 20 games left in the first half.

BRIAN ROBERTS: Orioles second baseman Brian Roberts is scheduled to play for the Shorebirds tonight and Wednesday in some capacity. Roberts has played in five games during his rehab assignment for the Bowie BaySox. He is 2-for-9 (.222) with two doubles and an RBI. Roberts has played in 1,232 major league games in his 11-year career with the Orioles. He is a .281 lifetime hitter. The former first round draft pick in 1999 had his best season in 2005, when he hit .314 with 18 home runs and 73 RBIs. Roberts first stop in the minor leagues was with the Delmarva Shorebirds (1999). He batted .240 with 21 RBIs in 47 games.

20 IN 21 DAYS: Tonight will mark the Shorebirds 20th game in the last 21 days. The only day without a game during the stretch was on May 21 when the game in Lakewood was washed out.

LONGEST OF SEASON: The Shorebirds have lost four games in a row for the second time this season (April 10-13). They have not lost five in a row this season.

THREE-HIT GAME: Glynn Davis picked up his first three-hit game last night since April 14 and his third of the season. He has five hits in the last two games (5-of-7). His average has jumped from .243 to .261.

OFFENSE?: The Shorebirds offense has sputtered of late to the tune of 16 runs in the last nine games (1.77 per). The Shorebirds have not scored more than three runs since May 19 when they scored nine against Hagerstown.
