Suns-BlueClaws Rained out on Tuesday
June 5, 2018 - South Atlantic League (SAL1)
Hagerstown Suns News Release
Hagerstown, MD - The Hagerstown Suns and Lakewood BlueClaws contest scheduled for Tuesday evening has been postponed due to rain. The two teams will make up the game as part of a double header on Wednesday with gates opening at 4:30 PM and a 5:05 PM first pitch for the first game. Fans who purchased tickets to Tuesday's contest can redeem their tickets to gain entry to any regular season game at Historic Municipal Stadium. Wednesday's game will also serve as a make up for Antietam Date Night.
Tuesday's postponement is the eighth weather effected game of the season for the Suns and the first of June. The last game Hagerstown lost due to rain was on May 31 when the Suns and Hickory Crawdads series finale was canceled. Hagerstown and Lakewood have been rained out three times including Tuesday's game, which is the most against any team for the Suns.
The Suns and BlueClaws will wrap up the three-game set on Thursday with a 7:05 PM first pitch. The Suns hit the road for seven games on Friday, beginning with a three-game set in Salisbury against the Delmarva Shorebirds. Hagerstown will play four in Lakewood in the final game of the road trip before returning to Historic Municipal Stadium to finish the first half with three games against the Columbia Fireflies.
Wednesday is also Bark in the Park presented by Pet Value. Tomorrow night's broadcast can be heard, starting with the pregame show at 4:50 PM on www.hagerstownsuns.com by going to multimedia and "Listen Live" which also has downloads for a free app on the iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, and Android. The broadcast is also available on the Hagerstown Suns Radio Network in the Tune-In Radio App.
