Sundogs Add Brother To Roster In Jamie Visser

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs Hockey Club of the Central Hockey League today announced it has signed its second overseas player in less than a week in forward Jamie Visser, older brother to Sundogs rookie forward Jason Visser.
Visser, 28, has spent his entire career playing overseas, including five-straight seasons in Holland. The Mississauga, Ontario, native had his best professional season in 2006-07 while with the Geleen Smoke Eaters, collecting 24 goals, 42 assists and 64 penalty minutes (PIM) in 40 games. In 158 total games while in Holland, the 6-foot-4, 230-pound forward has collected 87 goals, 111 assists and 351 PIM.
This season will not be the first time that the two brothers have played together on the same team. The younger Visser joined his brother in Holland during the 2006-07 campaign for nine games following his four-year career at Union College, tallying two goals, four assists and 22 PIM in nine games.
Visser has joined the Sundogs and will appear in his first game on Tuesday night as they look to clinch their first division title against Southwest Division foe the New Mexico Scorpions at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho. The Sundogs need just one point in their remaining four games to secure the Southwest Division title. Game time is set for 6:15pm (Arizona time) but will be tape-delayed until 7:00pm on 96.7 FM The Wolf, the Official Broadcast Home of the Arizona Sundogs.
