UNCASVILLE, CT. (January 8, 2007) - The Connecticut Sun chose to pass with the final pick in the WNBA Dispersal Draft of Charlotte Sting players, which was conducted by conference call Monday.
Tasha Butts and Summer Erb were the players remaining on the board when Connecticut - picking 13th because it had the best regular season record in the league last year - opted not to use its selection. The Detroit Shock was the only other team to pass Monday.
In the 2004 WNBA Dispersal Draft of the Cleveland Rockers, Connecticut traded its pick to Houston for a second round selection (24th overall) in the 2004 WNBA Draft. The Sun used that pick to take Ugo Oha of George Washington. In the 2003 WNBA Dispersal Draft of the Miami Sol and Portland Fire, Connecticut selected Debbie Black with the sixth pick.
