CJ Stretch scored the lone goal in the three-round shootout as the Blazers rallied from 3-1 down midway through the second period to get by the Giants 4-3 in front of 4114 fans at ISC on Wednesday night.
The Giants jumped out to a 2-0 lead midway through the first before Shayne Wiebe notched his 4th of the year to cut the lead to 2-1 after one. The Giants restored their 2-goal lead early in the second before the Blazers took advantage of a couple of powerplays - with PPG from Dalibor Bortnak and Michal Siska - to tie the game at three after two. The third period and overtime were scoreless - setting the stage for the shootout.
