Lincoln, Neb. - Backed by a three-point night from forward Alex Limoges, Tri-City won its third game in a row against Lincoln on Saturday night at the Ice Box.
Tri-City scored late in the first period to take the 1-0 at the first intermission.
Limoges scored a power play goal at 18:42 of the opening frame, giving Tri-City the edge on the scoreboard.
Tri-City added three goals in the second period, extending its lead to 4-0.
Storm forward Joe Cipollone put one in the net at the 7:01 mark. One minute later forward Wade Allison beat Stars goaltender Patrik Virtanen.
Alex Limoges scored his second power play goal of the night at the 14:28 mark to end the period at 4-0.
Neither team would score in the third period, making this a 4-0 final.
Stars goaltender Patrik Virtanen made 19 saves on the night, while Peyton Jones had 16 saves in relief.
The Stars are back in action Sunday, January 3rd in Sioux City. Puck drop is set for 3:00 p.m.
