Storm rain on Wranglers' parade 2-1

Las Vegas, NV- Las Vegas, NV- The Toledo Storm beat the Las Vegas Wranglers 2-1 Saturday night in front of 5,878 fans. Toledo goalie Scott Fankhouser stopped 30 shots to lead the Storm to victory. Toledo centers Maris Zeidins and Rick Judson each scored for the Storm. The Wranglers only goal came off the stick of Ryan Gaucher midway through the second period. Las Vegas heads to Bakersfield on Thursday at 7:00 pm.

Toledo's Maris Zeidins started the scoring for the Storm on the power play at 11:31 of the first. Zeidins took a pass from Nick Parillo in the slot and snapped a quick wrist shot past Wranglers goalie Marc Magliarditi for the 1-0 lead after on period of play.

Toledo center Rick Judson tallied a short-handed goal 47 seconds into the second period that would prove to be the game winner and a 2-0 Toledo lead. The Wranglers cut the lead in half when Ryan Gaucher found the back of the net at 7:36 of the period to pull the Wranglers to within one at 2-1.

The Wranglers will be back at the Orleans Arena this Friday and Saturday to play the Idaho Steelheads at 7:05 pm.
