Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release
Atlantic City, NJ â Brett Nowak and Scott Horvath each tallied a goal and goaltender Jake Moreland stopped all 17 shots he faced to lead the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies to a 2-0 victory over the Dayton Bombers before 1426 at Historic Boardwalk Hall in ECHL action Sunday. The win is the Bullies fourth in a row and gives Atlantic City sole possession of first place in the North Division with 15 points.
Nowak would give the Bullies all the scoring they would need at 4:26 of the second period on the power play, taking a drop pass from Jason Notermann inside the right-wing circle and beating Dayton goaltender Andrew Penner to the far side for a 1-0 lead. Horvath tallied an insurance marker at 8:51 of the third period, beating Penner from the left-wing circle off the blocker.
The Bullies out-shot Dayton 30-17. Atlantic City went 1-6 on the power play while holding Dayton to 0-4 with the man advantage. Moreland earned his fifth win of the year.
Atlantic City returns to Historic Boardwalk Hall at 7:05PM on Tuesday, November 16 when they host the Dayton Bombers. This is a game that was originally scheduled for Wednesday, November 17 so please make a note.
