Stingrays Weekly: Stingrays Prepare for Seven-Game Road Trip

The Week That Was...

The South Carolina Stingrays battled all three South-Division rivals this week (Gwinnett Gladiators, Greenville Road Warriors and Florida Everblades) for a record of 0-4-0-0. The Stingrays kicked off a three-game in three-night road trip Monday against the Gladiators, falling 4-0. The Stingrays quickly moved to the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville, SC to square off against the Road Warriors. The Road Warriors broke a scoreless tie early in the third period and skated to a 2-0 victory. Goaltender Daren Machesney made 26 saves in the loss. The Gladiators grabbed their second straight shutout over the Stingrays on Wednesday, 3-0. Stingrays forward Sean Dolan lead the team with seven shots.

The Stingrays returned to the North Charleston Coliseum on Saturday to host the Florida Everblades on New Year's Eve and FIRST Robotics Night presented by Google . Stingrays forwards Maxime Lacroix, Joe Pereira and Pierre-Luc O'Brien lit the lamp, but the Everblades prevailed 6-3.
