Dollar Friday and NIU Vs. Depaul this Weekend

Hoffman Estates, IL - The Chicago Express, proud member of the ECHL and proud affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, remain on home ice for two games this weekend, as they host the Reading Royals on Friday and Saturday night.

Friday, January 6, features another installment of the ever popular Dollar Fridays, featuring one dollar beers and one dollar hot dogs, proudly serving Coors Light. The specially priced beers and dogs can be purchased at any of the portable concession stands, while season ticket holders can also get their one dollar beers and hot dogs through the season ticket holder only lines at the regular concession stands. Following this Friday, the Express will not play a home Friday game until February 17, so be sure to get in on the special deal this week.

RW Chaz Johnson along with D Josh Burrows, who hails from Prairie Grove, IL, will be available for pictures and autographs after the game. The autograph booth has been moved to a new location, as the booth will now be set up in the club. All fans are welcome to stop by immediately following the game. Club tickets are not required to attend the autograph session.

On Saturday, January 7, two games will be played at the Sears Centre Arena. At 3:00 pm, the NIU Huskies battle the Depaul Blue Demons. The matchup features the third ranked team in the D-II ACHA Central Region, Depaul, against the #15 ranked NIU Huskies. To get a ticket that includes admission to both games, call Katrina Hinsberg at 224-220-3110. The special ticket offer includes two games for the price of one.

"Both teams have been looking forward to this game for a long time," said NIU General Manager Ian Kalanges. "It's a great way to kick off the second-semester schedule. I know the players are excited to have their families in town for this special game."

The Express play at home later in the evening, for Chicago Express Hat Giveway, courtesy of the Daily Herald. Fans can get a Chicago Express hat on their way into the building, however a limited number are available, so be sure to get here early.

G Paul Dainton and new F Anthony Mainai will be at the Chicago Express Autograph booth after the game, which will remain in the club. All fans can come to the club immediately following the contest to meet Dainton and Mainani as well as get pictures and autographs.

All doors on Saturday will open at 6:30 pm, including the Season Ticket Holder doors. The puck drops at 7:30 pm.
