South Carolina Stingrays News Release
The South Carolina Stingrays opened a seven-game road trip last week with a three-game in three-night weekend against the Elmira Jackals, Wheeling Nailers and Toledo Walleye for a record of 2-1-0-0. On Friday, the Stingrays and Jackals clashed at First Arena with the home team taking a 3-2 victory. Defenseman Johann Kroll and forward Pierre-Luc O'Brien lit the lamp for the Stingrays. Twenty-four hours later, O'Brien buried the game-winning goal against the Nailers and forward Trent Campbell added an insurance marker to give the Stingrays a 3-1 triumph. The win snapped a five-game losing streak. Sunday marked the final regular-season contest between the Stingrays and Walleye. O'Brien extended his goal-scoring streak to four games as he registered the game-tying and game-winning markers in a 3-2 win.
