The Week That Was...
The South Carolina Stingrays traveled to the Amway Center to battle the Orlando Solar Bears and returned to the North Charleston Coliseum to meet the Florida Everblades for a week record of 0-3-0-0, adjusting their Eastern-Conference leading record to 30-14-1-3.
The week kicked off Tuesday evening in Orlando, Florida with the Solar Bears taking a 5-2 victory over the Stingrays. Forward Peter Boyd and defenseman Drew Baker provided goals for the Stingrays and netminder Jeff Jakaitis turned in 27 saves. In a rematch Thursday night, forward Scott Campbell opened the scoring, but Orlando fought back and scored the game-winning goal with 1:30 to play in the third period for a 2-1 decision. The Stingrays returned home Sunday afternoon to host the Everblades, falling 3-0. With the loss, the Stingrays are 0-4-0-1 in their last five games.

Taking the Lead
The Stingrays are first in the South Division, first in the Eastern Conference and third overall in the ECHL with 64 points (30-14-1-3).
Goaltender Jeff Jakaitis is first in the ECHL with a 1.90 goals-against average, .932 save percentage, 23 wins and 2,052 minutes played, tied for third with three shutouts and fourth with 897 saves.
Forward Peter Boyd is 11 in the ECHL with 42 points (16 goals, 26 assists).
Defenseman Steve Spinell, who is currently recalled to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League, is third among rookies with 25 minor penalties.
Defenseman Jeremy Price is third among rookies with a plus-minus rating of +18.
Defenseman Scott Langdon is second among ECHL blueliners with 13 major penalties and third with 107 penalty minutes.
The Stingrays boast the best defense in the ECHL averaging 2.13 goals against per game.
