Idaho Raises over $12,000 for the Jayden DeLuca Foundation

Boise, ID (2/17/14) - Special jerseys, auctioned and raffled off to raise money, generated nearly $12,500 for the Jayden DeLuca Foundation over the weekend.

The Idaho Steelheads have been doing silent jersey auctions on behalf of charities and non-profit organizations since 1998, generating over $450,000 for the local community. As always, 100 percent of the proceeds went directly to the Jayden DeLuca Foundation.

The jerseys of defenseman Tyler Elbrecht and goaltender Pat Nagle each fetched $600, the highest individual bid. Several other jerseys generated $500 apiece.

The Steelheads will host one more specialty-jersey auction this season, the popular "Pink in the Rink on March 7-8 when the team hosts the Las Vegas Wranglers.

Idaho returns to home ice this Saturday, February 22, to take on the Utah Grizzlies for Reusable Bag Giveaway Night. Tickets are available online at www.idahosteelheads.com .
