STINGRAYS TAKE ON COLORADO FOR FIRST TIME THIS WEEK
South Carolina Bids For Third Straight Winning Week After Starting November With 4-2 Record

Patrick Gaul racked up four assists and Steven McParland had two goals and an assist for the South Carolina Stingrays who scored five straight goals to defeat the Orlando Solar Bears by a final score of 5-1 at the Amway Center Thursday night. Forwards Scott Tanski and Domenic Monardo each scored their first goals of the season for South Carolina, while the team had a split performance in goal between netminders Parker Milner and Adam Carlson, combining to allow just one goal on 33 Orlando shots.

The Orlando Solar Bears got out to a lead in the second period and held on to defeat the South Carolina Stingrays 3-0 at the Amway Center Saturday night. Goaltender Adam Carlson made a total of 28 saves for the Stingrays in defeat, while forward Patrick Gaul and defenseman Colton Saucerman each had a game-high five shots on net for South Carolina. Orlando's Kasimir Kaskisuo recorded the shutout, making 24 saves.

Alex Gacek's first professional goal turned out to be the game-winner for the South Carolina Stingrays in a come from behind 3-2 victory over the Orlando Solar Bears on Sunday afternoon at the Amway Center. Defenseman Colton Saucerman had two assists in the win, while goaltender Parker Milner turned aside 24 shots to earn his fourth consecutive victory for South Carolina. Forward Rob Flick also tallied his first goal of the year on a power play late in the second period.

GAUL REACHES 4-POINT MILESTONE
With four assists in Thursday night's win over Orlando, forward Patrick Gaul had his first career four-point night. The assistant captain factored in on four straight goals for the Stingrays and helped propel the team past the Solar Bears for the first time this season. Gaul now leads the Stingrays with nine points (two goals, seven assists) in 10 games. Averaging just under a point per game, the Pittsburgh native is in his fifth season with South Carolina.
MILNER STEPPING UP HIS GAME
Stingrays' goaltender Parker Milner has earned wins four straight starts between the pipes and now has an overall record of 4-2-1-0 on the season. During the run, the netminder has allowed just five total goals in 208:41 of play. The Stingrays have also played well offensively in front of the netminder, averaging just over three goals per game during the stretch. Milner has now played over 100 ECHL games, and has an overall record of 54-37-5-2 split between Stockton, Quad City, Missouri and South Carolina. His career ECHL goals against average is 2.41 and Milner's save percentage stands at .917.
GACEK'S FIRST STRIKE STANDS UP AS GAME-WINNER
Forward Alex Gacek's first professional goal turned out to be the game-winner as South Carolina defeated Orlando 3-2 on Sunday afternoon. Minutes after the Hampton, N.H. native was unable to convert on a breakaway opportunity, Gacek provided a much-needed insurance goal for South Carolina, redirecting a pass from Patrick Gaul top shelf over Solar Bear netminder Kaskisuo to make it 3-1. Rookie forward Steven McParland also factored in on the goal and was credited with the second assist. The goal was also Gacek's first career point, coming in his sixth game of the year for the Stingrays.
The Stingrays return home to North Charleston this week to open a three-game series with the Colorado Eagles. All three games will be played at home. The Nov. 17 and 19 contests will begin at 7:05 p.m., while Sunday's matchup starts at 3:05.
