Everblades remain unbeaten in regulation
One month into the ECHL season, the Florida Everblades are the only team to have not suffered a regulation loss. Florida is 10-0-1 through 11 games and with 21 points, has a five-point lead over Atlanta for the top spot in the South Division.
The Everblades added four wins to their ledger last week, all on the road. They opened the week with a 2-1 win at Atlanta on Tuesday. Levko Koper and Michael Kirkpatrick tallied Florida's goals while Daniel Altshuller picked up the win in goal, stopping 24 Gladiators' shots.
On Friday, Florida was able to hold on for a 6-5 win over the Gladiators. Six different Everblades scored goals in the victory with six players notching multi-point games in the process. Anthony Peters earned the win in goal with 28 saves.
Florida headed to Greenville for a pair of games over the weekend, and started the series with a 2-1 overtime win on Saturday. Brendan O'Donnell scored the Everblades lone goal during in regulation and Mike Ferrantino tallied the game-winning goal 1:31 into the extra session. Altshuller turned in another solid effort in goal, stopping 27 Swamp Rabbits' shots, including all 14 he faced in the third period and overtime.
The Everblades ended their busy week with a 6-2 win on Sunday. Mike Aviani led the way offensively with four points (1g-3a) while Eric Scheid chipped in with a pair of goals. Peters recorded his second win of the week with 27 saves.
Matt Berry leads the way for Florida a month into the season with 14 points (5g-9a). Koper has had a solid start to his first full pro season, as he is tied for fourth among rookies with five goals and is tied for 13th among first-year players with eight points. Zack Kamrass has provided offense from the blue line as his nine points (2g-7a) are tied for seventh among ECHL defensemen.
Altshuller and Peters have provided a strong one-two punch in goal for the Everblades, who as a team, lead the league with 1.82 goals-against per game while allowing the second-fewest shots at 25.09. Altshuller ranks second in the league 1.59 goals-against average and is eighth with a .929 save percentage while Peters is fifth with a 2.01 goals-against average and 10th with a .926 save percentage.
The Everblades are back on home ice for a pair of games this weekend, hosting Greenville on Friday and Missouri on Saturday.

Eastern Conference
Reading at Manchester (Wednesday, Friday and Saturday)
An important early-season series in the North Division. The Monarchs, who won 6-4 at Reading on Saturday, enter the week two points behind division-leading Adirondack, while the Royals are four points off the pace.
Western Conference
Alaska at Wichita (Friday, Saturdady and Sunday)
The Aces and Thunder have both gotten off to strong starts after missing the Kelly Cup Playoffs last season. Alaska is 6-3-1 and is just two points out of first place in the Mountain Division while Wichita is 6-3-0 and in fifth place of the Central Division, but with the second-fewest games played in the league.
Divisions
North Division
Brian Ward leads rookies with eight goals. The Thunder are tied for the league lead with four goals allowed in the first period. Adirondack is at Utah on Monday, Friday and Saturday.
David Pacan leads the Beast with five goals. Brampton has gone to overtime or a shootout in six of its 10 games. The Beast are at Wheeling on Tuesday and host Elmira on Friday before visiting the Jackals on Saturday.
Brycen Martin registered his first two pro points, both assists, on Saturday against Brampton. The Jackals are 16-for-18 on the penalty kill (88.9 percent) over their last six games. Elmira is at Brampton on Friday and hosts the Beast on Saturday.
Justin Agosta is tied for third among defensemen with eight assists. Manchester is 5-0-0 on the road. The Monarchs host Reading on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Robbie Czarnik is on a seven-game point streak (4g-3a). The Royals are 3-1-1 in one-goal games. Reading visits Manchester on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Adam Krause had three goals in two games last week, including the game-winning goal on Sunday at Brampton. Wheeling has outscored its opponents 18-7 in the third period. The Nailers host Brampton on Tuesday and are at Indy on Friday and Quad City on Saturday and Sunday.
South Division
Justin Buzzeo is on a seven-game point streak (6g-8a). The Gladiators are 5-1-2 on the road. Atlanta is at Toledo on Tuesday, Cincinnati on Friday and Indy on Saturday and Sunday.
Andrew Yogan has seven points (4g-3a) in his last three games. Cincinnati is 5-0-1 in its last six games. The Cyclones host Kalamazoo on Tuesday and Atlanta on Friday.
Matt Berry saw his seven-game point streak end on Tuesday at Atlanta (3g-8a). The Everblades have outshot their opponent in each of their 11 games. Florida hosts Greenville on Friday and Missouri on Saturday.
Brandon Aldereson leads the Swamp Rabbits with four goals. Greenville opens a season-long seven-game road trip on Thursday. The Swamp Rabbits are at Orlando on Thursday and Florida on Friday.
Jaedon Descheneau is third among rookies with a 25.0 percent shooting percentage (2-for-8). The Admirals Norfolk hosts Idaho on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Denver Manderson is on a five-game point streak (2g-4a). Orlando has scored 15 of its 33 goals in the third period. The Solar Bears host Greenville on Thursday.
Alex Gacek scored his first career goal in Sunday's win over Orlando. The Stingrays are sixth with 2.64 goals-against per game. South Carolina hosts Colorado on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
Central Division
Shawn Szydlowski is on a six-game point streak (5g-5a). Fort Wayne is second on the penalty kill at 89.7 percent (52-for-58). The Komets host Quad City on Friday.
Jake Hildebrand made 37 saves to record his first career shutout in 2-0 win at Alaska on Saturday. The Fuel play seven of their next eight games at home. Indy host Wheeling on Friday and Atlanta on Saturday and Sunday.
Dajon Mingo leads defensemen with six power-play assists. Kalamazoo is 5-1-0 when scoring first. The K-Wings are at Cincinnati on Tuesday and Toledo on Friday and Saturday.
Nolan LaPorte recorded three points - including his first career goal - in Quad City's 4-2 win over Toledo on Friday. The Mallards are 7-1-1 in their last nine games.Quad City visits Fort Wayne on Friday and hosts Wheeling on Saturday and Sunday.
Cal Heeter is the first goaltender in Walleye history to begin a season with six consecutive wins. Toledo is tied for the league lead with three overtime wins. The Walleye host Atlanta on Tuesday and Kalamazoo on Friday and Saturday.
Danick Paquette has six points (1g-5a) in his last 5 games. The Oilers are the league's only undefeated team at home (9-0-0). Tulsa hosts Rapid City on Wednesday and Friday and Allen on Sunday.
Logan Nelson has five points (2g-3a) in the last two games. Wichita leads the league on the penalty kill at 94.4 percent (34-for-36). The Thunder host Alaska on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Mountain Division
Peter Sivak leads the league with four game-winning goals. The Aces are 6-0-1 when scoring first. Alaska is at Wichita on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Joel Chouinard is tied for fourth among defensemen in plus-minus at +11. Allen is 4-0-0 when scoring first. The Americans visit Missouri on Tuesday, host Rapid City on Saturday and travel to Tulsa on Sunday.
Cole Sanford is third among rookies with six goals. The Eagles have outscored their opponents 21-12 in the third period. Colorado is at South Carolina on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
Joe Basaraba has a goal in three of the last four games. Idaho has at least one power-play goal in 11 of its 13 games. The Steelheads are at Norfolk on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Dane Fox has eight points (3g-5a) in the last five games. The Mavericks are fifth with 34.09 shots per game. Missouri hosts Allen on Tuesday and is at Florida on Saturday.
Ryan Walters is tied for second in the league with 14 assists. Rapid City has killed 18 straight opponent power plays, and has not allowed a power-play goal in eight straight games. The Rush are at Tulsa on Wednesday and Friday and Allen on Saturday.
Kenton Helgesen has scored in eight of nine games (2g-6a). The Grizzlies are fourth with 35.17 shots per game. Utah hosts Adirondack on Monday, Friday and Saturday.
