Stingrays Weekly: Hall of Fame Night and Fan Appreciation Night this Saturday

The South Carolina Stingrays kicked off a five-game road trip this week with three straight contests against the Florida Everblades at Germain Arena for a week record of 0-3-0-0. The week started on Wednesday with the Everblades skating to a 4-3 victory. Forward Patrick Cullen scored his first two professional goals in the loss. On Friday night, forward Andrew Cherniwchan scores two goals in his professional debut, but the Stingrays fell 5-2. Saturday marked the final regular-season meeting between the two teams with the Everblades prevailing 4-2. For the third straight game, a Stingrays rookie scored his first pro goal when forward Michael Dorr found the twine on the power play in the third period.

Taking the Lead

The Stingrays are fourth in the South Division with 77 points and seventh overall in the Eastern Conference.

Forward Pierre-Luc O'Brien is tied for second in the ECHL with a plus-minus rating of +21.

Goaltender Philipp Grubauer is third with a 2.22 goals-against average and fifth with 2536 minutes played.

Defenseman Brett Flemming is fifth among ECHL rookies with a plus-minus rating of +14.

Defensemen Zach Tarkir (10g, 20a) and Johann Kroll (7g, 23a) are tied for 17th among ECHL defensemen with 30 points. Tarkir is first among blueliners with five game-winning goals and Kroll is first among D-men with a plus-minus rating of +20.

Defenseman Derek Keller ranks third among D-men with two shorthanded assists.
