Stingrays Weekly: Fifth Annual Pink in the Rink this Saturday

The South Carolina Stingrays closed out this week ‚¬â„¢s action with a 0-2-0-0 record and wrapped up a season-long nine-game homestand against the Florida Everblades and Kalamazoo Wings. With second place in the South Division on the line, the Stingrays squared up against the Everblades on Friday night. The Everblades broke a 1-1 tie with four unanswered goals in the second period to claim a 5-1 victory. Forward Pierre-Luc O ‚¬â„¢Brien had the lone tally for the Stingrays. The loss snapped a seven-game unbeaten streak and six-game winning streak for the Stingrays. The Stingrays celebrated Mascot Mania and Kid ‚¬â„¢s Day on Sunday against the Wings. Rays forward Tommy Goebel grabbed the opening marker early in the first period, but the Wings responded with three tallies to take a 3-1 win. Wings goaltender Ryan Nie stopped 28 of 29 Stingrays shots.
