ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades wrapped up this past week's action with a 2-2-0 record during their four-game road trip to Gwinnett, Greenville and South Carolina. Overall, the Everblades enter this week's action with a record of 23-18-2 (48 pts., 2nd South Division.)

Wednesday, Friday & Saturday, January 19, 21 & 22 vs. Reading Royals Wed. & Fri: 7:30 p.m. / Sat. 7:00 p.m.

GAME NOTES: The Everblades return home to host the Reading Royals for three games this week. The games are the final three between the teams this season and the only three between the clubs at Germain Arena. In three games at Reading this season the Everblades are 2-1-0. The last time the teams met, Reading picked up a 4-3 win on December 30. All-time the Everblades have a record of 6-4-0 vs. Reading and are 1-2-0 all-time at home against the Royals. Reading enters this week with a record of 23-10-2 (48 pts., 1st, East Division).

Wednesday, January 19: It's another Dollar Deal Wednesday where fans can enjoy dollar hot dogs courtesy of Dietz & Watson and dollar domestic draft beers courtesy of Budweiser from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Also college ladies get in for free on Wednesday's by showing their current college ID at the Box Office and park for free, all courtesy of 105.5 The Beat!

Saturday, January 22: It's our annual Guns & Hoses Charity game between SW Florida Firefighters and SW Florida police! Fans can show their support and help raise money for SW Florida's finest! A ticket to the Everblades game that night vs. Reading will get fans admission to both games! The doors open at 3 p.m. and the Guns & Hoses charity game begins at 3:30 p.m. Following the game at 5:00 p.m. fans can head outside Germain Arena for a tailgate party featuring live music!

Player of the Week Nominee: This week's Player of the Week nominee is Ross Carlson. Carlson picked up a point in each of the last three games and finished the week with five points (3g, 2a) and was a plus-4 rating. This week's Goalie of the Week nominee is Bobby Goepfert who finished the week 2-0-0 with a 1.46 goals against average and a .959 save percentage in wins at South Carolina and Gwinnett.

Special Teams Breakdown: Entering this week, here's a look at the Everblades power play and penalty killing: On the power play the Everblades rank 5th in the ECHL at 18.6 % (41-of-220)...at home the Blades are ranked 8th in the league at 18.9 % (17-of-90)...on the road the Everblades rank 8th at 18.5 % (24-of-130). On the penalty kill the Everblades find themselves first in the ECHL at 88.9 % (176-of-198)...at home the Everblades enter the week ranked 4th at 88.6 % (78-of-88)...on the road the Blades are currently 3rd at 89.1 % (98-of-110).

League Leaders: Coming into this week although he is out indefinitely, Mitch Fadden still leads the ECHL in scoring with 51 points and is also tied for the league lead in assists (36). Forward Francis Lemieux is currently third in the ECHL in scoring with his 46 points. Alex Imbeault finds himself tied for the league lead in goals scored with 21 and leading the ECHL in power play goals with 11. Rookie forward Mike McKenzie is 5th among all first-year players with his 30 points.

Who's Hot: Several Everblades are currently riding hot streaks. F Francis Lemieux has recorded a point in seven of the last nine games (4g, 6a)...F Matt Beca has notched a point in eight of the last 10 games he's played in (5g, 9a)...F Ross Carlson has points in three straight games and four of the last five (3g, 3a).

Whew! That was Close: The Everblades snapped their recent six-game winless streak with a 5-1 win at South Carolina on Friday night. The six-game streak (0-5-1) tied an Everblades all-time record for longest drought without a victory. You have to look all the way back to Florida's inaugural season in 1998-99 to find the only other time an Everblades team failed to win a game in six straight contests. That year, the Everblades were winless in six games from December 23, 1998 - January 9, 1999.
