
Stingrays Unveil 2011-12 Military Jerseys

South Carolina Stingrays News Release
North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays, proud ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals, unveiled their 2011-12 military jerseys that will be worn by the players during Military Appreciation Night presented by Force Protection on Saturday, October 15 and Saturday, March 17 at 7:05 p.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum.
The jersey features emblems of the U.S. Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Air Force, Navy and Army surrounding the Stingrays logo with two U.S. flags on the shoulders. The jerseys will be auctioned off online at www.stingrayshockey.com after the October 15 contest. The winning bidders will pickup the jerseys and meet the players after the March 17 game.
The 2011-12 season kicks off tonight with Opening Weekend and Alumni Weekend against the Reading Royals and Saturday, October 15 against the Wheeling Nailers at 7:05 p.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum. Tonight, the first 5,000 fans receive a 2011-12 Stingrays magnet schedule courtesy of Comcast. Saturday is Military Appreciation Night presented by Force Protection with a pregame Stingrays Alumni game at 2:30.
