Stingrays Sign Defenseman Tyler Jundt

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays, proud ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals, announced today that the team has signed defenseman Tyler Jundt. In keeping with club policy, details of the agreement were not disclosed.

Jundt, 23, appeared in 20 games with the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire earlier this season scoring three goals and five assists for eight points. The Williston, North Dakota, native spent the past two seasons at Bemidji State University picking up six penalty minutes in 22 contests. Before jumping to the NCAA ranks, Jundt skated two seasons of junior hockey with the North Iowa Outlaws of the North American Hockey League and the Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League totaling 26 points (8g, 18a) in 98 games.
