November 3, 2014 - ECHL (ECHL)
South Carolina Stingrays News Release
North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays, celebrating 22 seasons of hockey in the Lowcoutry, will participate in men's health campaign Movember during the month of November for the sixth consecutive season.
Movember is the annual charity event that engages men to grow, and women to support, a moustache for the 30 days of November to raise awareness and funds for men's health issues including prostate and testicular cancer and mental health. Supporters, called Mo Bros and Mo Sistas, recruit friends, family and colleagues to donate and share their efforts along the way. Participants began with a clean shaven face on November 1 and then grow and groom a moustache for the next 30 days.
Follow the team's progress, join the campaign and to learn more about Movember at http://moteam.co/south-carolina-stingrays.
Since 2003 three million participants have raised more than $559 million for the cause, funding more than 800 programs globally. Movember programs are focused on awareness and education, living with and beyond cancer and research to achieve a permanent impact on the face of men's health.
Celebrate the first 2x2 Tuesday of the season on Tuesday, November 4 at 7:05 against the Toledo Walleye at the Coliseum! Grab 2-for-1 tickets at the Coliseum Box Office and enjoy $2 beer and $2 hotdogs all night!
