Greenville Swamp Rabbits News Release

LAST WEEK'S RECAP

Overall Picture: The Road Warriors (4-3-0-0) took two of three last week from in-state rival South Carolina and now have won four of their last five games overall. On Thursday, Greenville battled back from a two-goal deficit at home. Jacob Johnston notched the Warriors first goal and Kyle Jean even the game with just over four minutes remaining. Greenville continued to apply offensive pressure in overtime, but the game remained knotted at 2-2 and headed to a shootout. In the shootout, Jeff Malcolm stopped four of the five shots he faced to backstop the Warriors to a 3-2 win.

Halloween was a spooky resemblance to the night before as Greenville again climbed back from a two-goal deficit with Jean again netting the game-tying goal in the third period to force extra time. Jason Missiaen made 10 saves during a 12-round shootout and Scott Arnold scored the winner as the Warriors secured another shootout victory, 5-4, and their fourth consecutive win overall.

In the final game of the triple-header, South Carolina's Caleb Herbert scored his first professional hat trick as the Stingray's topped Greenville 4-2. Michael St. Croix and Emerson Clark notched the goals for the Warriors, while Malcolm made 22 saves between the pipes.
