Stingrays Game Preview: Standings Points Served as Stingrays and Gladiators Collide on Thanksgiving

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays visit the Gwinnett Gladiators tonight for Thanksgiving at 7:05 at The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Georgia for game two of a four-game series. Overall, tonight is the third of 16 meetings between to the two East-Division rivals this season.

Series Breakdown:

The Stingrays hold an 0-2-0-0 head-to-head record against the Gladiators this season and opened their four-game series on Tuesday, falling 4-1 in Duluth, Georgia. Forward Wayne Simpson scored the lone tally for the Stingrays while forward Joe Diamond leads the team in the season series with two assists. All-time, the Stingrays hold a record of 66-52-13 against the Gladiators.

Picking Up Points:

Forward Derek DeBlois has six points (two goals, four assists) in his last six games.

Capitalizing on Special Teams:

The Gwinnett Gladiators are the second most penalized team in the ECHL averaging 20.93 penalty minutes per game. On Tuesday, the Stingrays were awarded eight power plays and are hold a power play of 14.29 percent against the Gladiators this season (2-for-14).
