ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Thursday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Kalamazoo's Martin fined, suspended

Kalamazoo's Joel Martin has been suspended for one game and fined an undislcosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #332, Kalamazoo at Cincinnati, on Nov. 22.

Martin is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as the result of his actions in the third period of the game.

Martin will miss Kalamazoo's game against Fort Wayne on Nov. 28.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

South Carolina's Collins fined, suspended

South Carolina's Anthony Collins has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #155, South Carolina at Gwinnett, on Nov. 25.

Collins was assessed a match penalty under Rule 21.1 at 19:34 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Collins will miss South Carolina's games at Gwinnett (Nov. 27) and vs. Gwinnett (Nov. 29).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
