Quotes
"We knew they were going to come out hard tonight, but we didn't score on our power-play chances and they did. I think that's the real key to us losing." - Roberts Lipsbergs with his thoughts on trying to sweep the Condors and coming up short
"I got the pass from [Adam Phillips] and it was a nice rebound for me. I was able to find a gap above the goalie's shoulder and put it in. It feels good but obviously it would have felt better if we could have won." - Lipsbergs on scoring his first professional career goal
"We could have moved the puck a little faster. We made some nice plays but we allowed a couple goals that we should've stopped. We've played well as a unit lately and [Michal] Spacek stepped up tonight and played well I thought." - Shawn Boutin on the Thunder's defensive zone coverage tonight
"I think the first period was a chess match without much scoring opportunities either way. Their special teams won the game for them tonight. We didn't execute on our chances and they did." - Head Coach Rich Kromm on the Thunder's special teams play
"I think at times we are being a bit too picky. Sometimes we need to just get the puck to the net and forecheck instead of looking for the perfect shot." - Coach Kromm on trying to total more shots on net
"It's a positive when you look at the big picture absolutely. When you look back at the last series of games it definitely helps us in the standings. Now I think we have to bounce back for Friday against Utah and then onto a big series with Alaska at home to round out this homestand." - Coach Kromm on how taking 3 of 4 from Bakersfield is a positive
