Stingers-Huskies Tilt Postponed

Willmar Stingers News Release


DULUTH, Minn. -- Rainfall made field conditions unplayable following the cocnlusion of the third inning in a game between Duluth and Willmar at Wade Stadium. The game will be made up on Tuesday, July 2nd with the Stingers leading the Huskies 1-0 in the top of the 4th inning. The game will resume and be played at its intended length of nine innings.

Abe Bobb (San Francisco) made the start for Willmar (19-10) and had not yet allowed a hit to the Huskies in his 3.0 innings pitched. The Stingers claimed a 1-0 lead in the second inning courtesy of Jake Gornsky's (Monmouth) solo home run to center field.

The Stingers return home to Bill Taunton Stadium for a three-game homestand against the Rochester Honkers. Max Homick will put his 3.60 ERA on the line in search of his first win of the season on Jimmy Buffett Night presented by Duininck, Inc.� Live music begins at 6 p.m.
