After the Bullfrogs led throughout on Saturday, the Chinooks and Bullfrogs traded big innings late before Green Bay eventually fell in 10 innings by a score of 6-5.
The Bullfrogs scored one run in the first, third, and fifth innings, and held a 3-0 lead all the way to the eighth. The lead was aided in large part by six shutout innings from starting pitcher Derek Callahan.
Luke Watson pitched a scoreless seventh for Green Bay to bridge to left-handed reliever Kevin Nutley, who was given the eighth inning. Nutley gave up three earned runs in what turned out to be a five run inning to give Lakeshore a 5-3 lead. The other two runs who were given up by Logan West, who came in after Nutley was only able to record one out.
The Bullfrogs gained momentum back in the ninth inning, scoring two runs to tie up the game and force extra innings. The runs were scored by Boomer White and Trevin Sonnier.
Extras didn't last long, however, as Lakeshore's Ryan Krill hit a walk-off double, plating Mike Papi, to give the Chinooks the victory.
The win went to Karch Kowalczyk and the loss went to Green Bay's Ben Graff.
The Bullfrogs are now 13-18 on the season, with four games to play in the first half.
