Brampton Steelheads News Release

MISSISSAUGA, ON - The Mississauga Steelheads are scratching in anticipation of the 3rd Annual Pucks 'N' Paws game on Sunday February 2nd at 2 pm when the Sudbury Wolves visit the Paramount Fine Foods Centre. This year's Pucks 'N' Paws game is presented by Global News, Barks n' Rec and Ren's Pets and will be the only time this season that you can bring your four-legged friend to the game with you.

This year's game is in support of the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program; a group that aims to improve lives daily, through bringing joy and comfort to the sick, lonely and those who need a friendly visit. If you plan on bringing your furry friend to the game on February 2nd, be sure to purchase a Puck 'N' Paws ticket in sections 11 through 16. For every ticket purchased in the dog section, $5 will be donated back to St. John Ambulance.

As part of the game day on Sunday afternoon, Global News' special weather analyst Storm the Weather Dog, will be dropping the ceremonial puck along with his owner and TV personality, Anthony Farnell.

The festivities will en-tail numerous activations including a doggy photo booth, a face painting booth, balloon artists, groomers and plenty of opportunities for your pup to be rewarded with treats from our vendors. There mutt even be giveaways for those that attend the game with their doggo.

The hockey club will also be running a social media contest for the best dog trick. To enter, follow @ohlsteelheads on Instagram and tag us in a video of your dog performing his or her most impressive trick. The winner selected will receive a complimentary pair of tickets to the game as well as the opportunity to perform the trick at ice level during the second intermission!
