Sting Strike Deal with the Barrie Colts

SARNIA, ON - Sarnia Sting General Manager Nick Sinclair announced today that the team has completed a trade with the Barrie Colts which sees third year forward Anthony Tabak head to the Colts. In exchange for three draft selections.

The 18 year old Oakville, ON native spent parts of two seasons with the Sting compiling 10 goals and 23 assists for 33 points in 65 games in Sarnia. Originally obtained in a trade with the Sudbury Wolves in January of 2019, the NHL draft eligible Tabak has recorded 17 goals and 39 assists for 56 points in 150 games played.

Tabak returns to the Eastern Conference after originally being a 3rd round pick by the Wolves in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection.

The Sting with receive a 3rd round pick in 2022 (Erie), a 4th round pick in 2021 (Barrie), and a 5th round selection in 2021 (Barrie).
