
STEELHEADS: Steelheads Announce Training Camp Roster Moves

Boise, ID (10/11/16) -Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced several transactions on Tuesday ahead of the Steelheads' final exhibition game of the preseason at CenturyLink Arena. The Steelheads have added three new players to the roster, while releasing six players from tryout agreements.
After Zach Bell and Henri Kiviaho joined the Steelheads on Monday from camp in AHL Texas, forwards Kellan Lain and goaltender Landon Bow joined the Steelheads on Tuesday. Lain was released from a tryout agreement with Texas and comes to Idaho after having signed an ECHL contract during the summer. The Steelheads also agreed to terms with forward Connor Chatham on an ECHL contract.
Bow, 21, is under AHL contract and was assigned to Idaho on Monday by AHL Texas. It is the rookie's first pro season after four seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Swift Current Broncos and the Seattle Thunderbirds. The 6-foot-5 goaltender was 74-56-13 in juniors with a 2.91 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage in 160 games. He led the WHL with seven shutouts last season.
Chatham, 20, is a former 2014 NHL draft pick of the New Jersey Devils (3rd round, 71st overall). The 6-foot-2 native of Belleville, Illinois spent the last four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Plymouth Whalers, Flint Firebirds, and Windsor Spitfires. In 166 OHL games, Chatham scored 47 goals and 109 points.
Idaho has also agreed to terms with forward Travis Ewanyk on an ECHL contract. He is expected to be added to the training camp roster shortly.
The Steelheads released the following players from the training camp roster- Forwards Kailum Gervais, Cullen Bradshaw, and Mark Pustin; Defensemen Taylor Love and Dalton Olsen; Goaltender Troy Redmann.
The Steelheads currently have 22 players in camp.
The Steelheads finish the preseason on Tuesday night at CenturyLink Arena with their second consecutive contest with the Utah Grizzlies. Puck-drop is scheduled for 7:10pm. The game will not be broadcasted on KTIK Radio or on ECHL.TV, but fans can follow the Steelheads' Twitter account for regular updates.
