Former NHLer Wallace in Aces Lineup Tonight

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - Local hockey product Tim Wallace will be in the Alaska Aces lineup tonight as the Aces take on the South Carolina Stingrays in an exhibition game at the Sullivan Arena.

The Stingrays edged the Aces 4-3 in overtime Monday night.

Wallace, 32, grew up in Anchorage and attended Service High School. He then participated in the United States National Team Development Program before heading the University of Notre Dame.

The 6-1, 205 pound center played in the Pittsburgh Penguins system, making his NHL debut in black and gold in the 2008-09 season. Wallace also played in the NHL for the New York Islanders, Tampa Bay Lightning and Carolina Hurricanes.

Wallace scored 4 goals with 9 assists for 13 points in the NHL.

He's been in the Aces training camp for the past week and a half.

Game time tonight is 7:15 at the Sullivan Arena.
