
Steelheads remain perfect in young season

BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads beat the Fresno Falcons 5-2 in its first road game of the 2004-05 season tonight at the Save Mart Center in front of 3,706 fans. Justin Cox' hat trick and linemate Lance Galbraith's four assists paced the Idaho attack.
Fresno's Charles Simard opened the scoring at 11:54 of the first period. But, Idaho continued its second period dominance by outscoring the Falcons 3-to-1. Through three games, the Steelheads are outscoring their opponents 9-3 in the middle frame. Cox, Warren Peters and Scott Burt each tallied for Idaho, while Lanny Gare tallied the lone goal for Fresno. The 4-2 Idaho lead held until Cox scored the final goal of the game at 19:07 of the third period giving Idaho its third win in as many games.
The two teams continue the three-game weekend series in Fresno tomorrow night.
