Steelheads and Booster Club Host Marine Corps Toys for Tots Toss on Friday

December 1, 2008 - ECHL (ECHL) - Idaho Steelheads News Release

BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads Hockey Club and its Booster Club will host the 9th Annual Marine Corps Toys for Tots Toy Toss on Friday, Dec. 5. Fans may buy a stuffed toy at the game from the Steelheads Booster Club or bring their own unwrapped, unbreakable toy to toss. Doors open at 6:30 pm; puck drops at 7:10 pm.

When the Steelheads score their first goal, fans toss the toys on the ice, with the hope of covering the ice with the toys. All toys and proceeds will be donated to the Marine Corps benefiting children in need here in the Treasure Valley.

Over 600 toys of all price ranges to fit any budget will be available for purchase from the Steelheads Boosters at the front entrance to the Qwest Arena.

For fans who wish to participate but are unable to attend Friday's game, Boosters will also collect toys in marked bins at the entrance of Qwest Arena during the game on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
