December 1, 2008 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL and its member teams mourn the loss and express their condolences to the family and friends of Lt. Michael J. Frank, who died in a single-vehicle accident in Georgia on Saturday.

Frank, who was returning from officiating a youth hockey game in Atlanta, worked as an off-ice official for the Augusta Lynx and worked in the past as a linesman in the league. He worked the last 13 years as the public information officer for Aiken County Sheriff's Office and had also worked as a reporter for WJBF-TV and WRDW-TV.

Frank is survived by his children, Michael Tyler "Tip" Frank and Tara Chandler Frank and his parents, Helen and Allen Frank.

Visit the registry online at PoseyFuneralHome.com and sign the guestbook at AugustaChronicle.com.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Augusta Youth Hockey Program where Frank was an ACHA Official.
