Steelheads 2013-2014 Regular Season Schedule Released

Mississauga, ON - The Mississauga Steelheads are gearing up for another exciting season of hockey at the Hershey Centre! Earlier today the Ontario Hockey League released the regular season schedule for the upcoming 2013-14 season. The Steelheads kick off the regular season with a trip to Niagara to take on the IceDogs on September 19th, before returning to Mississauga for their home opener against the Owen Sound Attack on Friday, September 20th.

Fans won't have to wait long to revisit the playoff atmosphere from last season, as 1st round rivals the Bellville Bulls will visit Mississauga just a week into the season on Friday, September 27th.

This season marks an exciting opportunity for fans to see some "exceptional player" matchups, as 2013 first-round pick Sean Day and the Steelheads will host Aaron Ekblad and the Barrie Colts three times, as well as Connor McDavid and the Erie Otters twice at home during the regular season.

For those who enjoyed the battle of Peel, the Steelheads are set to continue their rivalry with the North Bay Battalion, formally of Brampton, when they make their return to the area on Sunday, October 6th.

In addition to these exciting games, there are some important dates to note beginning with the Steelheads School Day Game set to take place on Tuesday, November 19th at 11:00am against the Guelph Storm. Spend some great holiday time with the family at the Hershey Centre this season with games falling on Thanksgiving Monday, October 14th versus Erie, New Year's Eve on Tuesday, December 31st versus Kingston, and Family Day - Monday February 17th.
