The 2013/2014 Ontario Hockey League Schedule has been released and the Owen Sound Attack will open up their season on the road, Friday September 20th when they travel to Mississauga. The 2013 Home Opener is slated for the following night, Saturday, September 21st when the Attack host the Peterborough Petes.
The 3rd Annual Pink in the Rink will take place on Sunday, October 27th at 2:00pm when the Attack host the Windsor Spitfires while an additional themed jersey night, where the Attack will wear Blue Jersey's in support of Prostate Cancer on Sunday, March 2nd at 2:00pm when the Attack host the Ottawa 67's. Each Wednesday game, along with Sunday December 15th and Sunday January 19th, the Attack will sport their replica Platers jerseys in celebration of the 25th year of OHL Hockey in Owen Sound and after each Sunday home game, Bell will present their Sunday skate and autograph session with the Attack, immediately following the games.
"Along with the addition of our video score clock and new speaker system, we have a variety of promotions, theme nights and activities happening throughout the year.", stated Attack Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Brent Fisher. "Throughout our season, we are pleased to be able to continue to work with a variety of local charities, initiatives and causes that are important to our community."
The Attack will have three raincheck nights throughout the season where Early Bird Season Ticket Holders may exchange unused tickets, up to a maximum of two (2) per seat. The first raincheck night will be Wednesday, October 30th vs. Barrie while the final two will happen on Wednesday, December 18th vs. Sarnia and Wednesday, February 5th vs. Barrie.
The North Bay Battalion will make their first ever visit to the Bayshore on October 12th, while the Attack will travel to North Bay at the end of a three game road trip on Sunday, November 10th.
In total the Attack will play three games in four nights a total of ten times and three games in three nights six times. The Attack will play at home twenty times on Saturday's, eight Wednesday's (INC New Years Day), four Sunday's and two Friday's.
