Arkansas Travelers News Release
NORTH LITTLE ROCK - Shortstop Hainley Statia has been activated from the seven-day disabled list by the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday morning. To make room for Statia on the Travelers active roster, Nolan Brannon was transferred back to extended spring training in Tempe, Arizona. Statia missed all seven games of the Travs road trip after being diagnosed with tonsillitis.
Statia last played for the Travelers on April 26 in a home game against Northwest Arkansas. He joined the club on the eight-day road trip but was sent back to the team hotel before the first game on Monday at Tulsa. After receiving antibiotics treatment, Statia was able to return to normal daily baseball activities over the weekend and will be available for action as the Travs begin an eight-game home stand.
Brannon played in one game during his five-day stint with the Travelers going 0-for-1.
